In Game Name: BigWoolly
Village Name: BigWoollyMammoth [-9|-7], Chainsaw City [-214|-253]
Who sponsored you: Travian Lord, gruber
What is your experience on Travian: this is my 3rd server, 2nd as Teuton
What are your goals with joining us: I'm looking for a more organized alliance. Right now I'm in SIN and I am annoyed by most of them. It's totally unorganized and most of the players are not as committed to winning.

| well, I wouldn't say our goal is not to win. we want to win, just not the WW. we want to win by making everyone else lose =]
TL or BB, you do a sit check on this guy? Please explain our goals and such so he knows it all before joining. You can just copy/paste the goals from the alliance structure vote in the voting thread.

| By winning I don't mean endgame necessarily, just an overall sense of kicking ass. Nobody in my current alliance wants to fight. gruber was in my alliance a couple of weeks ago and we started teaming up and hitting targets together (now he's in FU). I am researching cats now, and I'll be looking for targets soon. And yeah, TL sitter checked me | |

| Heres what were planning on doing. And bigwood passed the sit check
Goals: We have no interest in the WW victory. Having seen the WW victory screen many times, we find it to be arbitrary and anticlimactic. Instead, we redefine the term "victory" by having our goal, which is to prevent any alliance from getting the WW. After a while the NATARs will start building the WW and we wish to keep them down too, but if we need to chose someone to win it would likely be them. We just want to have fun by screwing with all the legitimate alliance out there, and play the war part of this war game opposed to the inevitable politics that mergers and metas require for the WW victory. Of course we need to be very large for this to work, so we hope to spread our philosophy to all the other quads. If we can't pull it off then we will just screw with others, but we will never go for the WW.
Political Structure: We have no centralized political leadership. We decide big issues by having everyone vote with a 48 hour deadline and take the majority. We have officer positions in which our more active members are assigned for the alliance mandatory roles such as diplomacy and recruiting, but they cannot make large scale decisions on their own and will need to defer to an alliance vote. We do not accept NAPs, and only Confed with our wings. We will not alter this structure if another alliance merges together with us, but we will be able to assign officer positions to the other alliances. Votes should only be for major issues, such as chancing our structure, accepting a merger, or kicking a player out of the alliance for anything other then being inactive or being farmed. Please note that the officers will hold no real power but are able to be the voice of the alliance and do the smaller things. Officer's don't vote on anything between themselves and there will be no power struggle between them. Officers will be determined by volunteers and we can have as many officers are people volunteer for. For example, we can have 8 recruiters. for officer positions where there can only be once, such as diplomat, inactive member-kicker, spy coordinator, etc. we will vote. (I know it sounds tedious but once we get our officers in place we shouldn't need to vote anymore except for mergers and such.
Military Structure: We have battle groups based on location. Each battle group has a leader who organizes and coordinates both attacks and defenses for their members. There will be times that battle group leaders will work together on common tasks, such as destroying multiple villages or reinforcing one of our players. Battle group leaders will of course have the ability to MM, but the only people who NEED to listen to them are those assigned to that battle group. If battle group leaders are working together one will defer to the other, the leader being the one with the most experience. if there is a disagreement as to who will lead the mission then it will be the battle group leader physically closest to the target (be it friendly rein or enemy target). If their are multiple targets then the one closest to the majority of them leads.

| Hi Bigwolly, I am your neighbor Vito Needless to say I poked at you a few times and found no defense I have not farmed you in awhile as I have been in conflicts and got my troops wiped out twice by some of our common friends in 199 I would like to sit check you unless someone else did, if not you can set me up as. You the quiet guy in the neighborhood and Gruber is a good asset, I would definitely enjoy more company, and that means more competition to our neighbors Vito Unofficial full cavity search deputy | |
